Mr. Hasan Ali Kulak, Legal Counsel of the Istanbul Financial Center, paid a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the OIC-AC. He met w/ Secretary-General J.D. Kamel, Deputy Secretary-General Dr. Alper Çağrı Yılmaz, and Head of Marketing and PR Nihan Çetin. Deputy Secretay-General Dr. Yılmaz briefed Mr. Kulak on the establishment process, structure, and competencies of the OIC-AC, and elaborated on the 2023 Arbitration Rules, which strictly adhere to party autonomy, efficiency, and neutrality.
The potential collaboration and cooperation between the OIC-AC and the Istanbul Financial Center was discussed and evaluated during the meeting, in line with one of the objectives of the OIC-AC, which is to provide a platform for effective alternative dispute resolution (ADR) for States, businesses, and individuals both in the OIC region and beyond, and to promote OIC-AC business development.
The Istanbul Financial Center was established to provide an efficient financial services ecosystem, and aims to deliver growth to the Turkish economy and international investors by becoming a regional center in the short-term and a global center in the medium-term.
