This pathway is intended for individuals who have recently completed formal training in mediation and are seeking accreditation. The process is as follows:

  • Training and Assessment:
    • Attend accredited mediation training of international standard.
    • Pass the required exam.
  • Application and Enlistment:
    • Submit a formal application to the Secretariat.
    • Submit professional references (at least 2).
    • Sign the OIC-AC Code of Ethics.
    • Attend a half-day workshop on the specifics of cross-border investment and commercial mediation within the OIC region.
    • The Secretary-General submits the list of applicants and their documents to the Board of Directors (BoD) for review.
    • Upon approval by the BoD, applicants are officially enlisted on the Roster of Mediators with their unique accreditation number.
  • Maintenance of Status:
    • The names, profiles and accreditation numbers of the mediators are published on a dedicated webpage of the OIC-AC website.
    • Mediators are required to meet biennial Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements, including participation in a specified number of relevant training sessions organized by the OIC-AC.
