Vice President of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Arbitration Centre (OIC-AC) and Secretary-General of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA) Yousef Khalawi, ICCIA Holding General Manager Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, and ICCIA Business Development Manager Ahmed Mohamed paid a visit to the OIC-AC Secretariat on 4-8 January 2024.
OIC-AC, the first and only international alternative dispute resolution center established within the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and ICCIA, the sole representative of the private sectors of all 57 OIC member states, exchanged views on the further development and diversification of bilateral cooperation.
H.E. Khalawi recalled that H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye and Chairman of the OIC Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC), in his opening speech at the 39th Ministerial Meeting of the COMCEC on 3 December 2023, emphasized that the support of the COMCEC member states would be invaluable for the OIC-AC to become an important address for the settlement of investment and commercial disputes. H.E. Khalawi underlined that the support of ICCIA to OIC-AC, which started at the early stages of the establishment of the Latter, will continue onwards.
